Juvederm XC

Juvederm XC is a nonsurgical filler that adds volume to the skin. This filler gel is injected into the facial tissue (just below the outer layer of skin) where the wrinkles and folds are present. The gel is a form of hyaluronic acid (HA) that is processed with the proprietary HYLACROSS technology. Hyaluronic acid is already present in the skin. The level of HA decreases as we age, causing the skin to wrinkle and develop lines and folds.

Juvederm XC is used specifically in the facial area. The most common site for these fillers is the “smile lines” or the creases that start at the bottom of the nose and extend to the corner of the mouth.

Juvederm XC can be used in all skin types and is applied during a brief office visit. Follow-up injections will provide the best long-term results.
